These elusive birds are not often seen as they are masters of camouflage in daylight. This young bird was sat in the centre of our evening walk path next to a garbage bin likely waiting for a mouse or rat. There was no moonlight but I saw it in silhouette and flicked on my head light and it instantly flew up to one of the suspension bridge cables giving me just enough time to set the camera and make a few frames.
